Any trip to Death Valley from N. California would not be complete without a visit to the Sierras.

Here is my favorite mountain, Lone Pine Peak. Off to the right and back is Mt. Whitney, the tallest mountain in the lower 48 states, - which was not visible on this mist covered morning.
