Here are Africa's canines, the wild dogs and jackals, and occasional bat eared fox. Jackals are pretty common throughout Africa, but wild dogs are getting very rare, and we have only had three encounters with packs. In the southern Serengeti, Sabi Sand private reserve in South Africa, and Savuti in Botswana.
