Serengeti--Lion Killing Wildebeest
Serengeti National Park, Tanzania 2024
We came across a lioness on the road right after sunrise. She was eyeing a lone wildebeest in the grass about 10 yards away, who apparently did not see her. That was the biggest mistake the wildebeest ever made. Suddenly she POUNCED!! In about 3 seconds she had the wildebeest down, and was applying the deadly suffocation hold.
