The eastern part of California has some of the best mountain vistas in the world, in my opinion. The Alabama Hills, which are at the foot of the highest mountains, is my favorite spot for photos in California. I have made numerous trips all over this part of the state, so I have divided this gallery into several regions, all on the east side of the spine of the Sierras.
